This wine tour is for wine enthusiasts who will be boarding or arriving at the San Antonio port and want to make the most of their day on the way to or from Santiago. Luckily, there are some fantastic human scale winery options in the San Antonio and Leyda Valleys which are absolutely worth a visit.
OPTION (1) SAN ANTONIO ARTISAN WINE TOUR
Pick-up is available either from the San Antonio port or from Santiago (in the case of a transfer tour).
We begin with a visit to a garage winery located on the coast just north of the port. Here, winemakers and avid surfers Javiera and Roberto welcome us into their home and winery, where they craft outstanding coastal wines. Artisan production is taken to the next level — the owners de-stem grapes by hand and hand-design every label themselves!

(Optional) We then head to Macerado de Algarrobo, a gourmet restaurant where the Donoso brothers specialize in fresh seafood. Ingredients are sourced locally from the Algarrobo coastline, and the menu reflects a strong connection to the ocean’s bounty.
The final stop is Casa Marín, one of Chile’s most acclaimed coastal wineries. Founded by María Luz Marín, Casa Marín lies just 6 km from the Pacific Ocean and has earned numerous international awards for the freshness and minerality of its wines. At the time of its founding, it was the closest vineyard to the Pacific, and many in the industry believed planting vines there would be impossible. María Luz, now affectionately known as the “wacky woman of wine,” has become famous for pushing the limits of Chilean viticulture.
After touring the vines and wine cellar, we enjoy a tasting of Casa Marín’s premium wines.
