Aconcagua Valley Tour

The day begins at the historic Viña Sánchez de Loria, where we explore the vine cycle and learn about canopy management among century-old vineyards. We admire their 120-year-old winery—the oldest Chilean winery still operating within its original facilities—before enjoying a premium tasting of three wines in a breathtaking Andean landscape setting.

Our next stop is Viña El Escorial, home to some of the highest-altitude vineyards in Chile at 1,600 m above sea level and is recognized by Decanter as one of the most extreme terroirs in South America. Founded in 1880, this family-run estate—now in the hands of Rodrigo Espinosa—combines deep heritage with bold innovation in its wines.

We then visit Flaherty Wines, a boutique micro-winery known for its acclaimed Aconcagua and Cauquenes blends (94 pts by James Suckling). Here, we take a full fermentation and aging tour before a premium tasting paired with chanco cheese. The experience continues with a three-course gourmet lunch paired with wines, personally hosted by co-owner Jen Flaherty.

Finally, we head to Viña Almendral, an artisanal producer of traditional Chilean wines: Chicha, Pipeño, and Vino Añejo. These are rustic, natural, unfiltered wines rarely found outside Chile. We’ll taste three of these unique local styles, along with their handcrafted pisco-based fruit liqueurs.
