The first stop is a tour and tasting at Bodegas RE, a bold and innovative winery founded by Pablo Morandé — the visionary who planted the very first vines in the Casablanca Valley in 1982. Bodegas RE blends tradition with modern winemaking and is renowned for its unique co-fermentations and the use of both oak barrels and clay amphoras, reviving a 500-year-old Chilean winemaking heritage. Their commitment to pushing boundaries while honoring the past has earned them consistent recognition, with wines regularly ranked among the highest in Chile by leading wine publications.

The next stop is Atilio & Mochi, a boutique winery born from Marcos Atilio and Angela Mochi’s dream of owning a vineyard in Chile’s renowned Casablanca Valley. With a passion for cool-climate wines -both reds and whites- they planted 4 hectares with eight grape varieties in 2011, including the valley’s very first Grenache.
As proud members of MOVI (Chile’s Independent Winemakers Movement) Atilio y Mochi challenges the conventional narrative of Chilean wine, spotlighting lesser-known varietals and prioritizing real quality over price-driven labels. Their wines speak for themselves, with standout scores like 95 points for their Malbec (La Cav), and 93 points for both their Grenache and Cabernet Franc (James Suckling).

To round off the day, indulge in a four-course gourmet lunch with wine pairings at Macerado, the restaurant at Viñamar Winery. Run by the acclaimed Donoso brothers, Macerado is known for its focus on seafood and locally sourced ingredients. Set in a beautiful colonial-style estate building overlooking the Casablanca Valley, it offers refined Chilean cuisine paired with four wines from the winery, which is renowned for its premium sparkling wines.
